Education

I am not currently accepting new students. Thank you for your interest and best of luck in your studies. I am an Art Major with a Math Minor. I graduated from Biola University in La Mirada, CA with a 3.81 GPA. While there I studied Ceramics and completed all levels of Calculus, and took Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and Geometry. To prepare for graduate school I took Micro and Macroeconomics this past year and received an A in each. I have also taken a semester of Turkish at UC Berkeley and place at the Intermediate - High level. I have been accepted to one graduate school for International Relations for Fall 2017 and am waiting to hear back from the others.

Experience

I am not currently accepting new students. Thank you for your interest and best of luck in your studies. In college I tutored multiple levels of math for three years. My students ranged from junior high to college level. I have experience working with students with ADD/ADHD, and with gifted students. Currently I teach ceramics at a community art studio. My students here range in age from four years to retired adult. I have a lot of experience adjusting my teaching style and curriculum to suit the students needs. My goal, whenever I teach, is for my students to take delight in the challenge of learning.

Hobbies

I am not currently accepting new students. Thank you for your interest and best of luck in your studies. I am a voracious reader. In just the past year I have read twenty-one books, including young adult sci-fi, memoirs by notable people, and children's literature I had missed out on. Perhaps my favorite was "Through the Children's Gate" by Adam Gopnik about a family returning to New York after many years in Paris. I also love to bake, hike, and sharpen my programming skills. I volunteer at a non-profit once week where I served as an AmeriCorps member for two years.
