I am a Senior in Chinese Literature major, and Sanskrit and Buddhist Studies minor at University of California, Berkeley. Currently, I am receiving 3.3 in major GPA.

Experience

I have been a private tutor since late 2007 in K-12 math, Chinese language and Eastern Philosophy. I had taken four AP classes: Calculus AB/BC, Chemistry and Government. I received a score of five on both Calculus tests, and passed other two tests as well. I am a strongly talkative person, who also likes to teach people. Since my Sophomore year of high school, I have been tutoring my friends for math, chemistry and history. And this kind of experience provided me a good chance to learn the way how to teach class. Increasingly, this interest makes me to move toward the goal to become a postsecondary teacher after my school career. So far at Berkeley, I had taken: Math Related: Calculus I, Calculus II, Multi-variable Calculus, Linear Algebra and Differential Equation, Discrete Mathematics, Intro. Statistics. I am a friendly, talkative person, and almost never got mad on student's behavior (probably due to the religious belief as a Buddhist, and studying Eastern Philosophy at UCB). Often, I gave over time to students without any extra charge. I will drive to the student's house if necessary.
