Hello, My name is Ruby H., and I am a native Chinese Speaker. I provide assistance with all levels of Chinese, conversational and communication skills and vocabulary. All ages are welcome. I have been living and going to schools in China for 14 years, and I have been a leader of the class for the Chinese language subject during the school years. A leader of the class is like a teacher assistant, I helped my teachers with preparing class materials, providing assistance with homework. I have a BA degree in Chinese language from San Francisco State University. During college year, I was part of The Chinese Flagship program as a tutor. the Flagship Program is for students seeking careers related to China and the Chinese-speaking world. As a tutor, I worked closely with students, providing group and individual tutoring on cultural training, communication skill, and vocabulary. During my college years, I also participated as a competitor in the Chinese Speech Contest, which is organized by the Chinese Language Teachers Association of California(CLTAC). After graduation from college, I participated in the Chinese Speech Contest as a judge every year in the past three years. Currently, I am not only a private tutor, I am also in health care industry as an ophthalmic technician, working at Stanford Hospital & Clinic, providing patient care, assisting surgeries and as well as interpreting in Chinese. I am patient and dedicated to my passion in teaching/tutoring, I would be glad to be part of your learning journey.
